Reggie ‘N’ Bollie have announced that they have formally cut ties with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music label. The boys signed the record deal after coming second on the 2015 season of The X Factor, where they were mentored by Cheryl.
Their X Factor journey was one of great triumph after first auditioning as Menn On Point, before being forced to change their name due to legal reasons. They were then a shock pick by then judge Cheryl, but they proved she had selected correctly as they stormed to the final.
Reggie ‘N’ Bollie became huge fan favourites and brought an energy never before seen on the ITV singing contest. After the show ended they were snapped up by Simon Cowell, but after just over a year they have decided to part company.
During their time with the Sony label the lads originally from Ghana released two hit singles; ‘New Girl‘, and ‘Link Up‘.
But their debut album due for release this year will not be released through a major label, with Reggie ‘N’ Bollie announcing to their 99K Twitter followers that they are “finally independent”

The shock news comes just two months after the release of ‘Link Up’. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie’s first LP is set to be released independently later this year and may include collaborations with the likes of Cheryl, Fuse ODG, and Craig David.
Simon Cowell, Syco, or Sony are yet to comment on Reggie ‘N’ Bollie’s departure.
