Selena Gomez surprises concertgoers with performance of “Nobody”

Selena Gomez joined Hillsong Church’s Young & Free band at L.A.’s Belasco Theatre on Thursday evening to perform her single “Nobody”.

Hillsong Church’s Young & Free is a Christian band  from Sydney, Australia. The band has many celebrity followers including Vanessa Hudgens and Justin Bieber. Selena joined them during their scheduled stop at the downtown concert venue while on their Youth Revival tour.

According to The Hollywood Reporter,

“Around 8:50 p.m., Gomez was welcomed to the Hill Street. stage — the same location that Hillsong L.A. congregates weekly for its Sunday services — by loud cheers from the audience to perform the song alongside Young & Free’s band members, an attendee told The Hollywood Reporter. She could be seen lifting her arms in the air and encouraging the audience to sing along.”

While addressing audience, she said,

“Tonight is more than a concert, it’s more than Hillsong, it’s more than me coming on stage, singing a song for you. It’s about a relationship that is greater than anything, guaranteed.”

When a fan asked Selena as to what inspired the song Nobody on Twitter, she replied through her tweet that the song is about “God”. She tweeted, “God. Nobody is about Him.”

Selena has been surprising fans with some amazing treats. We hope she continues to do so.
