SG Lewis Drops Brand New Collaboration “Throwaway” With Clairo

British producer and songwriter SG Lewis has released his newest single “Throwaway,” featuring Clairo, the electro-pop artist known for her single “Pretty Girl,” viewed more than 29 million times on YouTube.

The track follows his recent release of “Blue,” the second song on Dawn, the final installment of the three-part concept album Dusk, Dark, Dawn. The album is set to release later this year. DuskDark, Dawn follows SG Lewis through a variety of moods and genres in regards to the youth culture mostly seen in clubs. Dusk, released in 2018, blended different sounds of disco, smooth electro, and funk while Dark featured heavier sounds. Dawn will run fans through romantic emotions and memories of being together with people who make you happy.

The duo previously worked together on “Better,” a track about wanting the best for the person they’re with but finally letting go when they don’t realize it. They mix a variety of colors and settings to show how they’re doing well after the breakup. Together, they combine Clairo’s electro-pop style with SG Lewis’ lyricism for a fun and exciting video.

Clairo’s unique vocals make this single’s sweet, slow-tempo work. “Clairo is one of my favorite artists to work with, and a good friend of mine”, SG Lewis said. “Throwaway was written in LA one evening – we sat and talked for ages, and after that Throwaway flowed out in no time at all. Clairo is such a special artist and an incredible songwriter, and I’m super proud of this song.”

SG Lewis is set to perform at Coachella on April 12 and will be supporting Jaden Smith on April 19. Prepare for his performances with his latest track below:
