Country-pop crossover artist Shania Twain has posted a beautiful beach selfie, where she is taking a break from recording her new album.
The pretty 50-year-old international superstar has been hard at work recording her fifth studio album since she ended her ‘Rock This Country’ tour, which was also the last tour of her illustrious career.
Despite being the biggest selling country artist of all time, Shania Twain has not released a new studio album since her ‘Up!’ LP way back in 2002, and her last single release was the uplifting ballad ‘Today Is Your Day’ which she released in 2011.
Various vocal and personal problems held back the stage-shy star from releasing any new materiel, but after the success of her sell-out Las Vegas residency, and her 2015 ‘Rock This Country’ shows, the ‘I’m Gonna Getcha You Good’ hitmaker is now more confident than ever, and is ready for the world to hear her new tunes.
During her last tour, Shania confirmed that she is planning to release a new single and or album before she turns 51, and her 51st birthday is on August 28th, so fans should expect some new music from the queen of country, within the next four months.
Proving that she is hard at work recording her new music, Shania Twain tweeted this week saying she was taking a break from the studio, writing: “Taking a break from the studio, need to recharge! #funinthesun” (sic).
The tweet was accompanied by a picture of the now blonde Twain relaxing on a gorgeous beach.
The new album will be produced by Matthew Koma, who has worked with huge names including Britney Spears, and Zedd.
