2018 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for new music with a wealth of artists such as Cheryl, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Ward Thomas, The Shires, and Sarah Darling all returning with new music while the likes of Liam Payne, and Andy Brown will be releasing their debut albums later in the year.
And one of the most exciting LP’s of the new year will be the new record from the Canadian superstar Shawn Mendes. Mendes is one of the most thrilling artists of our generation and a fantastic all-round musician. Not only does he have supreme vocal ability but he can also play a number of instruments such as the guitar and piano and is also a brilliantly talented songwriter.
The 19-year-old really does have the world at his talented feet and 2018 is set to be his biggest year yet. The star has been locked away in the recording studio since the end of 2017 and he took to social media at the start of the year to confirm that he will be spending January in the studio putting the finishing touches to his new studio album;

The as-yet untitled record is one of the most anticipated of 2018 with both fans and critics eagerly awaiting the LP. And the new album could be the one that finally earns Shawn Mendes that coveted Grammy Award. The singer who turns 20 this August was snubbed by the award ceremony last year, but his new LP could convince judges that he deserves to take home a gong.
