Who could forget when The Pussycat Dolls took the pop world by storm when they burst onto the music scene in 2005? The girls’ fierce image and moves combined with their catchy and empowering tunes made them a hit around the globe, playing to audiences worldwide and selling millions.
As all pop fantasies do, things came to an end in 2010 as each girl decided to pursue individual projects. Most notably Nicole Scherzinger, who is currently a judge on The X Factor, launched a solo career spanning hits such as ‘Right There’ and ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath.’
Despite varying degrees of success for each member, there’s no denying that they were unable to emulate the accomplishments they had made as a group so a reunion seems only right.
Luckily for us, the girls could be getting back sooner than we think if reports are to be believed, with a mysterious Instagram and site being launched recently.
So whilst we wait with baited breath for the official announcement and those all important tour dates, let’s remind ourselves why PCD were one of the greatest girls group of our generation.
6. Whatcha Think About That
Taken from their second album ‘Doll Domination’, this hit saw them team up with legendary rap artist Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliot.
5. I Hate This Part
A power ballad at its finest.
4. When I Grow Up
Sassiness Overload. This stomping track reached Number 3 on the UK charts back in 2008.
3. I Don’t Need A Man
These ladies were all about female empowerment and that’s why girls loved them so much.
2. Buttons
This raunchy number was a definite fan favourite.
1. Don’t Cha
If you don’t sing along to this one, then who even are you? A POP CLASSIC.
