‘The Band’ Musical will be hitting London’s West End this December. It will arrive at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on December 1 for a limited run of 50 performances up until January 12 2019.
Take That joined the cast of the musical for a special performance on the theatre roof earlier today to officially launch the West End transfer.

The show features the spectacular music of Take That, one of Britain’s most successful boy bands of all time, whose songs include Never Forget, Back for Good, A Million Love Songs, Greatest Day, The Flood, Relight My Fire, Shine and Rule the World.
‘The Band’ stars AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Sario Solomon – FIVE TO FIVE, the winners of ‘BBC’s’ ‘Let It Shine’. It is currently touring the UK and since its launch in September 2017, it has become the fastest selling theatre tour of all time.
The musical is based on what it’s like to grow up loving a boyband, something which a lot of people can really relate to. Almost everybody has had that one band, or person that they have obsessed over, and this musical brings all that to life. ‘The Band’ also brings back memories for the older generation that have been to see the musical.
Suitable for all ages, ‘The Band’ has built up quite a lot of people’s interest in musical theatre. Not only has it encouraged a lot of people to venture to the theatre for the first time, but it has also changed some people’s opinions of musical theatre, allowing them to see it in a different light.
