Yesterday, Avengers fans were given another snippet of Age of Ultron to marvel over, as the third trailer of the highly anticipated sequel made its premiere on YouTube.
The trailer offers a more dark and disturbed look into our most beloved superhero team, as they assemble once more to defend the world against the wrath of Tony Stark’s most accidently-deadly invention, Ultron (chillingly voiced by James Spader). Despite, the trailer only slightly exceeding two minutes, there’s action by the bucket-load, as we see the arrival of villainous brother-sister duo, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen). With their arrival comes an element of mystery about just how many mutants our Avengers will be taking on this time or will some unlikely alliances form?
The final talking point of the trailer burst onto the screen at the last second: our first glimpse of the Vision; a powerful android with the ability to control his own mass, allowing him to fly, increase his strength and density as well as being able to walk through walls. The character is to be played by Paul Bettany, who also provides the soothing vocals for Stark’s ever-helpful home computing system, Jarvis. However, his latest character remains clouded in secrecy as filmgoers wonder what the Vision will bring to Age of Ultron.
The film is set to be released in UK cinemas on May 1.
