Five piece vocal harmony group Vadé consisting of Jermaine Sanderson, Philip Yeboah, Roy Crisp, Joseph ‘Kojo’ Anti and Joshua Hammersley Jr. aka JJ, wowed the nation with their incredible performances on the Sky One entertainment show Sing: Ultimate A Cappella with the audience voting them the contests winners.
Now, the group have signed a major recording contract with Decca Records and have released their debut single ‘Cry Your Heart Out‘ which has been written by One Direction superstar Niall Horan. The track is lifted off their first studio album of the same name which will be released on the 8th of December.
Vadé’s signature sound draws inspiration from traditional gospel music, with a dash of added Motown and soul. Their debut LP will feature and eclectic mix of covers from a string of genres ranging from ‘Motownphilly’ by Boyz II Men and ‘Kiss From A Rose’ by Seal, to ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia and Rag n Bone Man’s ‘Human’, as well as the brand new original song ‘Cry Your Heart Out’.
Speaking about signing to Decca, Vadé have said, “We are so overwhelmed by the support we have received from doing the show, and completely blown away by the offer of a recording deal from Decca. It was our dream to record an album at Abbey Road Studios and to release an original track written by Niall Horan is more than we could have ever hoped for!”
