Boy Radio is an experimental rising RnB star based in Brooklyn, he has just released his debut album ‘Neon Romance‘. The ten-track LP is innovative, original, and experimental.
Here we speak exclusively to Boy Radio about his debut release, musical inspirations, upcoming tour, and lots more:
Growing up who inspired you to get into music?
I grew up listening to everything.
Who are your musical icons?
I grew up idolizing everyone.
When did you realise you wanted to pursue music as a career?
When I moved to NYC in fall of 2005 and bought my first Prince record.
What is the main inspiration behind your debut album ‘Neon Romance’?
Relationships and Intimacy.
Which song off the LP would you say is your favorite?
I have a few favorites so it’s hard to single out just one. ‘Bad Man’, or ‘Pie’, or maybe ‘Golden Boy’.
Can fans expect a tour from you soon?
We’re planning shows in 2018 with a few pop up shows in NYC this year. I’m excited!
If you could collaborate with any artist/band who would you choose?
Michel Gondry, video director.
What do you hope to achieve over the next ten years?
A lot can happen in 10 years.
