Over the weekend, Harry Styles made a surprise phone call to Manchester survivor, Freya Lewis, and extended his regards after hearing that she was a victim of the attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.
Freya Lewis, 14, attended the Dangerous Woman show with her best friend Nell Jones, who sadly did not survive the accident.
Freya is currently staying in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Manchester Children Hospital, as reported by So-Chesire.
Her sister, Georgia Lewis, took to Facebook and asked her friends and family to share her post to get Harry’s attention because Freya is the “biggest Harry Styles fan… in the entire world.”
Harry, who had already paid tribute in Mexico this previous week, caught wind of the post and called her dad. Her sister shared the good news:
The family shared online, “…Freya woke up, Harry said he loved her, she said she loved him, then Dad said he loved him!”
We are very happy for Freya, who got to share a moment with Harry. We’re sending both her and her family all the love, and we continue to wish every victim the best on their road to recovery.
In addition to Harry’s call and the way Ariana has reached out to friends and family of victims who lost their lives at the concert as well as survivors – a benefit show is being planned in Manchester on June 4th and another member of our favorite band will be there. Niall Horan, among others, is scheduled to play at the show and we’re also sending our best to everyone offering to help Ariana with her benefit show.
We talk about the guys of One Direction a lot, especially the kind things that they do, but in a world where we could use more kindness, they’re great shows of what it means to embody the word.
