2016 was an incredible year for Ward Thomas! Here we recap just a few of their best moments.

Early this year Ward Thomas signed their first major recording contract with the record label Sony Music. The offer of a contract came after their 2014 independently released album ‘From Where We Stand‘ sold over 25,000 copies in the UK alone and was named UK Album of The Year at the British Country Music Awards.
Album goes number 1.
Their first album released via Sony Music broke chart records and made British chart history by becoming the first ever LP from a British country music act to top the UK album charts. ‘Cartwheels‘ has been a massive success, not only did it debut at number 1 it also stayed in the official top 5 for three weeks.

Sold out UK and Ireland tour.
October 2016 saw the twin sisters embark on their Cartwheels tour of the UK and Ireland. The tour was a huge success selling out every single venue they performed in and receiving rave reviews for their shows.
Performed at the Royal Albert Hall.
Ward Thomas received a standing ovation after their very first performance at the Royal Albert Hall. The girls performed Dolly Parton’s huge hit ‘9 to 5’, in tribute to Sir Terry Wogan during the Children in Need Rocks for Terry concert.
Announced UK tour for 2017.
Ward Thomas have also announced a brand new 22-date-tour of the UK for Spring 2017. The sisters will visit cities all across the UK as they hit the road once again performing tracks from their two hit albums and new materiel.
