On May 19, 2009, the world was introduced to ‘Glee’ for the very first time. Throughout its six seasons, ‘Glee’ gave us moments of joy, heartbreak, laughter, and pure magic. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic show, we have put together a list of our all-time favourite group performances that capture the essence of the show.
Keep Holding On
This performance was probably the first time we shed a couple of tears during the show. Up until this episode, the glee club was filled with jealousy and petty bickering, but during this number, it was clear that the members of New Directions had created a strong bond with each other.
We Are Young
This is one of the performances that again shows the connection the members of New Directions had. Although they had been seperated for several episodes, they came back together like nothing bad ever happened.
Paradise By The Dashboard Light
The group number from Nationals in season three shows how much each member of the glee club improved over the years. The vocals, the choreography, the outfits. Who would have thought it would be like this back in the ‘Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat’ days?
Somebody To Love
The first ‘wow’ moment on the show came in the fifth episode. ‘Somebody To Love’ will always be an iconic ‘Glee’ song that gives us chills every time we listen to it.
I Lived
The last ever performance on ‘Glee’ captured everything we love about the show. From the lyrics to the appearances from all of our favourite characters. We’re still crying.
Lean On Me
The friendships, the love, the lyrics. This group performance will always warm our hearts.
Ride Wit Me
Okay, this may show more of the cast members than the characters since it was unscripted, however, nobody can deny that this is one of the greatest moments of season one.
Don’t Stop Believin’
We’re ending where it all began. No fancy words are needed here, just: thank you.
