Louis Tomlinson’s 24th birthday was almost as huge for fans as it was for Louis himself and now that the One Direction fan base has had time to deal with Louis growing yet another year older and finish donating to charities in his name, we thought we’d shout out one of the most giving charities in the One Direction fandom – 1D Fans Give.
We wrote about his birthday drive here while it was still underway and the most amazing part of their drive had to be that not even half way through the month they had not only met, but surpassed their fundraising goal.
The fundraiser wrapped up with an end result of $28,786.96 raised for The Eden Dora Trust, a charity that raises support and awareness for children affected by Encephalitis and their caregivers. Louis has been a patron of the trust for years and it’s a cause that’s close to his heart.
There’s a lot to be said about fans of One Direction and perhaps the most important trait that they possess is the incredible way they give, sometimes beyond their means, in support of the boys as a band, as individuals, and in support of the charities that are close to their hearts.
1D Fans Give is the way that most fans are able to donate to the various causes and charities that the boys are involved with and it doesn’t just have to be a month that Louis, Harry, Liam, or Niall have a birthday – they always have something going on that allows fans to show their support!
