Last night (November 29th) saw the annual Quintessentially Foundation Fayre of St James’ Church fundraising event. This year the foundation were raising money for popstar Cheryl’s charity Cheryl’s Trust, which was set up by the kindhearted star back in 2015 in partnership with the Prince’s Trust, and helps unemployed and disadvantaged young people living in the North East of England.
Cheryl attended the Christmas carol service and was accompanied to the event by boyfriend Liam Payne.
Over 500 guests attended the festive evening which included readings by Will Poulter and Joely Richardson, along with live performances from singers Paul Potts, and Olly Murs.
The fundraising event held at the stunning St James’ church in London also included a traditional carol service which got everybody in the festive spirit.
The night ended back at the church as attendees were treated to a winter-wonderland themed party in the church’s grounds, after Cheryl has switched on the Christmas lights on Jermyn Street.

But the most amazing part of the evening was the fact that over £200,000 was raised for Cheryl’s Trust thanks in part to a silent auction where items including lunch with Stephen Fry, a cooking lesson with Jamie Oliver, and a week’s holiday in the Maldives all raising over £50,000 so far.
The online auction is still live right now and all funds will go directly to Cheryl’s Trust with the aim of building a state of the art youth centre in the heart of Newcastle city centre.
