Winter is coming, ladies and gentlemen, but this time around there’s no Jon Snow to save us all from our impending doom. It’s obviously winter time in celebrity land, and it’s showing in the way that rumoured celebrity couples seem to be popping up left and right as fast as your neighbours are putting up their Christmas trees. Latest on the dating rumour mill: Niall Horan and Selena Gomez, who have reportedly been seen kissing at Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s birthday party.
Of course, no one has seen any pictures of any kiss whatsoever, so take it lightly – all we know for sure is that Sel and our favourite Irishman have been hanging out a lot as of late and seem to enjoy their friendship together. Rumours of the two getting chummy have been popping up ever since Niall has been spotted having dinner with Sel and her gang on November 23rd. The rumours haven’t slowed down since, seeing how the two have been hanging out more and more. Just yesterday, the two were spotted riding a rollercoaster together and seemingly having the time of their lives. Reportedly, the two have had dinner with Selena’s parents as well as Selena mentioning Niall in one of her radio interviews quickly.
As Justin Bieber has been nostalgically posting pictures of him and Selena back when they were still dating, Selena has been steadily liking pictures of her and Niall on Instagram instead. With the recent chart battle between Bieber and 1D, we can’t help but wonder how this is going to play out, at least in the media. First their albums pitted against each other, and now Niall is getting close with Justin’s ex girlfriend? Yikes. Whatever is going on, everyone is about to pay very close attention to the situation. Though, of course, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of friendly competition.
Many fans have been quite skeptical concerning the timing of these publicized outings – with Harry’s so-called “winter girlfriends” popping up year in and year out right around this time of year (and Louis’ famous “First day of spring, see you later!” statement about it afterwards), they are convinced that Niall is taking the fire of it all in Harry’s place this year, especially with the way that Zayn and Gigi Hadid are suddenly all over the place as well. Other fans are just loving the friendship between the two and maintain that they are not a couple at all.
We can’t say anything for sure, but we can say that we’re quite enjoying these outings of Nialler and Selener everywhere. If they do end up being a couple one of these days, they’d be absolutely lovely together. For now, though, we are enjoying their friendship and waiting to see how it all plays out.
