There has been a ton of new music released lately. It can get quite overwhelming when One Direction and Justin Bieber both drop albums on the same day, not to mention all the other artists who have released new material lately. So we’ve compiled a list of five new songs we think you need to hear.
1. Temporary Fix – One Direction
If you mix “No Control” and “Girl Almighty” off One Direction’s last album together, you get “Temporary Fix.” It’s definitely a standout track from the new album Made In The A.M. It’s an upbeat rock infused pop track that is nearly impossible to not sing along to.

2. I Know What You Did Last Summer – Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello
Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello teased this track for weeks and the wait was definitely worth it. The duet is moody and dramatic with an incredibly catchy beat. The pair wrote the song backstage at a Taylor Swift concert this summer and it is clear that they drew from personal experience. Shawn and Camila sing with intense emotion which just adds to how amazing the track is. “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is featured on Shawn’s album, Handwritten Revisited.

3. Love Yourself – Justin Bieber
Co-written and co-produced by Ed Sheeran, this track shows a very different side to Bieber. Stepping away from the EDM infused singles previously released, “Love Yourself” is an acoustic driven track. Lyrically, this is the acoustic equivalent to Big Sean’s “I Don’t F**k With You”. We couldn’t be more obsessed.
4. Hell Nos and Headphones – Hailee Steinfeld
Following the release of her debut single, “Love Myself,” Hailee released an EP titled, Haiz. “Hell No’s and Headphones” is a definitely a standout track from the brand new EP. The track has a message reminiscent of Alessia Cara’s hit “Here”. It’s a synth infused pop track and it is addicting! We can’t stop listening.

5. Wild Things – Alessia Cara
“Wild Things” is a youthful anthem driven by an infectious drum beat. Alessia is changing it up from her debut single, “Here” with a more pop vibe. Although the vibe is different, she sticks to her theme of rebellion and not caring what others think. Alessia’s unique voice adds an amazing touch to this fun, catchy, anthem.
