To celebrate CelebMix’s fifth anniversary, we have taken a closer look at some of our favourite celebrities, and the different aspects that we love about them.
For this article, we have decided to share with you our top five reasons on why we love Britney Spears.
1. Her artistic involvement throughout her career
Despite being one of the most successful recording artists of all time, Britney’s talent as a singer, songwriter and performer has often gone unnoticed by many.
What some may not know is Britney has had a lot more creative input in her career than one would imagine. She has helped to come up with the concepts and ideas for many of her music videos, such as “…Baby One More Time” (1998) (which was originally supposed to be animated), “Stronger” (2000), “Toxic” (2004) and “Womanizer” (2008) and she even directed the video for her single “Do Somethin’” (2005).
She has also written many songs throughout her career, such as “Dear Diary” (2000), “Everytime” (2004), “Someday (I Will Understand)” (2005) and “My Baby” (2008). Britney also has experience as a producer – she came up with the melodies for “Everytime” and “Someday (I Will Understand)” and played piano on both tracks. She was also a vocal arranger on two songs from her fourth studio album, “In the Zone” (2003): “Me Against the Music” and “The Hook Up”. Most notably, Britney was the executive producer of her fifth studio album, “Blackout” (2007).
2. Her epic dance moves and stage presence
There’s no denying that when it comes to the stage, Britney is one epic performer. She has been praised for her incredible dance moves on tours such as the “Dream Within a Dream” Tour (2001-2002) and “The Onyx Hotel” Tour (2004), which are regarded by many fans to be two of her best tours.
And it’s not just her tours – Britney has been known for many iconic performances during award shows and similar events over the years. Perhaps the most famous example is the MTV Video Music Awards – her performances at the 2000 and 2001 ceremonies are the most remembered.
Finally, we can’t forget the amazing choreography present throughout many of Britney’s music videos – which is part of the reason why she is such a superstar today.
3. How strong of a woman she is
Britney notably suffered a high-profile breakdown in early 2007, cultivating with a hospitalisation the following year. However, despite all of the hardships she has faced along the way, she has become a much stronger woman because of it. Britney was able to make a remarkable comeback towards the end of 2008, releasing her successful sixth studio album, “Circus” – and proving once and for all that she was back right where she belonged.
Britney’s struggles and the fact that she was able to pick herself up and come back better than ever and continue her career as a successful recording artist is proof that anyone who is going through a similar situation will be able to experience better days. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay, but it’s also not the end. Things will get better.
4. Her funny/sweet personality
Britney has perhaps one of the sweetest and kindest personalities in the world of showbiz. She has always spoken very highly of the celebs she’s met along the way and worked with, and – to our knowledge- has never bad mouthed anyone or started any high profile feuds. Britney herself has always been quite a shy person, but has also been more willing to open up in some certain situations.
Not only is Britney a sweet woman, but she has a funny personality too. This was especially evident in the early years of her career, where she would show off her goofiness in several interviews. This personality also shone through during several moments of her reality series with her ex-husband, “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic” in 2005. More recently, her fun, bubbly aspects appeared during her interview on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2016 – one of her funniest interviews to have happened in years.
5. Her Instagram presence
Last, but certainly not least. As well as having a super sweet personality, Britney has a very colourful social media presence on Instagram. In a world full of superficiality, Britney just radiates positivity through her own Instagram account.
Britney has been known for sharing random quotes which anybody can relate to, her workout videos – which help to inspire us to get our bodies moving – and her fashion shows, sharing clips of her strutting or twirling around her house in her favourite clothes to a choice of music in the background. If you don’t already follow Britney on Instagram, we definitely recommend that you do so – her page is enough to brighten up anyone’s life.
