5 Seconds of Summer will be closing out summer 2024 by celebrating the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.
On September 27th, the band – made up of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin – will release two brand-new vinyl reissues of the record, a picture disc and a red vinyl each containing different bonus tracks.
The picture disc is housed in a die cut sleeve, and includes fan favourites ‘Voodoo Doll’ and ‘Disconnected’ as bonus tracks.
The red vinyl LP exclusively features an alternate front cover sleeve and bonus tracks ‘Lost Boy’ and ‘Mrs All American’ both of which were only available on the Australian and American versions of the album respectively.
Both vinyls are available to pre-order here.
Originally released via Capitol Records back in June 2014, the self-titled record was the culmination of a “meteoric rise to fame” that saw the Australian pop / rock quartet dominate both the charts and radio airwaves around the world!
The album was chiefly produced by American musician John Feldmann (Good Charlotte, Panic! At The Disco, blink-182), and featured the singles ‘She Looks So Perfect’, ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘Amnesia’ and ‘Good Girls’.
The LP debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. and sold 259,000 copies in the first week, beating a record previously held by Daughtry. They also became the first Australian act to achieve a number-one album with their debut.
The album peaked at No.2 in the UK, and to date has sold over 300,000 copies.
