5 Seconds of Summer have done it again! Not only have they become the first Australian act to earn three #1 albums on the Billboard 200, (with 5 Seconds of Summer, Sounds Good Feels Good, and now Youngblood) but they are also the first band to have their first three records go to #1 in the United States! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!?

With Youngblood, 5 Seconds of Summer finished ahead of The Carters (JAY-Z and Beyoncé), Christina Aguilera, and two records from the XXXTentacion.

Michael Clifford shared via Twitter saying, “I am honored that we can say Youngblood is our 3rd consecutive #1 album in the US. I don’t have the words to thank the people that support us except that we fu**king love you. thank you to our team for helping us see through our vision and achieve what we set out to do.”

He continued saying, “one of the greatest days in 5 Seconds of Summer history. I love this band and I love you all so much. thank you x9999999 for everything you’ve done for us so far and continue to do for this band. 5SOS for life”

Luke Hemmings shared via Twitter saying, “You guys continue you blow my mind, I’m overwhelmed with emotion. This one feels different and you made it #1 for us. Thank you <3 love you forever YOUNGBLOOD”

Calum Hood shared via Twitter saying, “This is for YOU and because of YOU. Thankyou for being our source of ambition, reinvention and motivation.”

And of course, you can read the band’s statement in the tweet below!

Youngblood is a certified billboard #1 album in America. You came together as people to get us our 3rd number one record for all the right reasons. Today you made history for 4 young men, and you are every reason why we feel like the luckiest people alive. pic.twitter.com/a7EGT82dre
