Earlier this morning, Radio 1 announced details of this year’s Teen Awards. The headline act is no other than 5 Seconds of Summer!
The Australian quartet will be joined by pop punk band All Time Low and girlband Little Mix. Also returning to the UK to perform will be Nick Jonas.
5SOS joined Nick Grimshaw in the Radio 1 studios this morning to make the announcement. They celebrated the news by performing a special Live Lounge cover of Drown by Bring Me The Horizon.
The Teen Awards celebrates ‘the selfless, brave and exceptional achievements of British teenagers who are otherwise so often portrayed in a negative way, especially by the media’. Awards are also given to some of our favourite celebrities.
This year’s Teen Awards will be held at The SSE Arena, Wembley on the 8th of November. Tickets are exclusively available to those aged between 14 and 17.
Tickets will cost £10 plus booking and postal fees and will be released on Wednesday 17th October at 6:05pm.
You will need to be quick as there are only 9243 tickets available and with such a great line up, it is sure to sell out quickly! More information is available on the Radio 1 website.
