One Direction’s sixth anniversary is right around the corner and to celebrate, we take a look back at their best live performances from over the years. Ranging from the X Factor til the promo cycle of Made in the A.M., we got it all covered.
1. Torn at Judge’s Houses (2010)
Obviously, this list wouldn’t be complete without One Direction’s first ever performance as a band. What can we say, we love the pain.
2. Where do broken hearts go at the X Factor final (2014)
Fast forward to 2014. Including a Niall solo that makes our hearts burst with pride, Zayn ad-libbing like his life depends on it and Harry dancing it out with the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood.
3. One Thing acoustic (2011)
Everyone’s go-to video for when you need to prove that all of the One Direction lads are, in fact, very talented singers.
4. Love You Goodbye at the Ellen Show (2015)
Last fall, the entire One Direction fandom had a collective meltdown over Louis’ bridge in Love You Goodbye. Hearing it live, it’s easy to see why.

5. FourFiveSeconds at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge (2015)
If you ever thought you didn’t need One Direction to cover a Kanye West song, this performance totally proved you wrong.
6. Little Things in Orlando (2014)
It’s impossible to pick a favourite performance of ‘Little Things’ because it hits us right in the feels every single time, but since the camera work in this video is fantastic and the crowd participation is extraordinary, we went with this one from Orlando.
7. No Control live in Brussels (2015)
A bit different from the others in this list since it’s footage from an actual 1D concert, but the first live performance of No Control had to be on here.
8. Night Changes acoustic (2014)
The album version of ‘Night Changes’ is beautiful enough as it is, but this acoustic version brings it to a whole new level of enchanting.
9. Torn at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge (2015)
The 1D lads could have chosen any song to cover, but decided to take it back to where it all began with this performance of ‘Torn’. Unlike their performance of the same song at the X Factor in 2010, this version does include solos from Niall and Louis as well, which makes it just a bit more perfect.
10. History at the X Factor final (2015)
To end this list as emotional as we started it, we chose One Direction’s last live performance to date at the X Factor final last year. If you can watch this all the way through (including the group hug at the end!) without crying, we applaud you.

We could’ve gone on and on, but we decided to narrow it down to our ten favourite live performances for this list. What are your favourite performances from the lads? Let us know on Twitter over at @CelebMix and @CelebMix1D!
