Following a sold out debut performance at The Union Theatre, In My Own Little World, a one-woman show starring West End performer Jaz Terry, will receive its official premiere at Riverside Studios later this month.
In My Own World is an intimate, semi-autobiographical show created by Jaz, which navigates transition, finding your voice, and learning to be seen on your own terms. The show will receive its world premiere at Riverside Studios from November 19-29, 2026, with press night on November 23.
The queer multifaceted piece centres on Jada, a young trans woman navigating the early stages of transitioning. Set in London, the play follows Jada’s journey as she steps into who she really is, while figuring out where she belongs in an industry that rarely makes space for stories like hers.
Written, directed and performed by emerging trans artist Jaz, the 70-minute show explores love, identity, resilience, the relationship with your inner child and the courage it takes to step into your power. Every element of this production is shaped by her own artistic vision. It’s a piece created not just to tell a story, but to create space for connection and feeling, to show the inner worlds we all build when the outside world can be overwhelming.
The two week run at Riverside Studios marks an exciting new chapter for In My Own Little World and Jaz’s development as an artist, with her perspective of the world firmly at the centre of the stage. The play is supported by Emmanuel Akwafo through No Name Creatives, whose mission is to champion underrepresented voices and create vital space for marginalised stories on stage.
Speaking about the production, creative producer Emmanuel said: “Jaz is an extraordinary new voice, honest, poetic, and unflinchingly brave. In My Own Little World is the kind of theatre that stays with you long after the lights come up. It is a privilege to bring this work to life and to support Jaz in sharing her story with the world.”
In My Own Little World plays at Riverside Studios from November 19-29, 2026.
