Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller took to Instagram last night to announce her departure from the highly successful series, that kick-started the careers of dancing duo Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler. The news follows several reports that suggested Miller would resign from the show, ahead of her upcoming court case that could see her placed in prison for up to 30 months.
The star displayed her frustration towards producers of the show who have failed to give her credit for choreography, costumes and themes.

The announcement is another blow to Abby, who is currently in the middle of a bankruptcy fraud case. In 2015, a federal grand jury charged Miller for attempting to hide more than $755,000 of income from various appearances. The Associated Press reported at the time that authorities also accused Miller of putting more than $120,000 in plastic bags, as well as asking friends to hide some in their luggage.
She is set to be charged in upcoming months.
