Krysten was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Before acting Krysten Ritter was scouted as a model at the age of 15. Whilst in high school she travelled to New York City on the weekends and modelled in Philadelphia. Krysten’s acting career started when she was placed in an audition for a Dr. Pepper commercial. Since then, Krysten Ritter has had a number of guest starring roles in shows such as Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls.
One of Krysten’s most popular roles was Marvel’s superhero Jessica Jones which was produced as a Netflix series. All 13 episodes of the first season premiered on Netflix on Nov 20th, 2015. Jessica Jones was renewed for a second season in January 2016 however there has been no visible progress towards a second season. If Marvel fans want to see more Jessica Jones they can see her alongside Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Luke Cage and Danny Rand/Iron Fist as they form The Defenders which will premiere on Netflix sometime this year.
