Before appearing in feature films, Miles Teller appeared in short films. After graduating in 2009, he finally made his feature film debut in 2010’s Rabbit Hole. He was handpicked for the role by Nicole Kidman. He also appeared in the stage musical, Footloose, when he was in high school and years later appeared in the 2011 remake in which he played the same character; Willard Hewitt.
2013 was when he really started to get some recognition. He stared in 21 and Over but truly started to gain critical success when starring in The Spectacular Now for which, he won the Dramatic Special Jury Award for Acting at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. In 2014, he co-starred in the comedy, The Awkward Moment, alongside Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan. He also starred as Andrew Neiman in Whiplash. He was then nominated for the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Actor, the Satellite Award for Best Actor and the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
The recognition of Miles Teller continued when he portrayed Peter Hayes in Divergent. Followed by its sequels; Insurgent in 2015 and Allegiant in 2016. He also starred as Mister Fantastic in the Fantastic Four remake in 2015.
He then played real life arms dealer David Packouz, opposite Jonah Hill in War Dogs.
