Over the summer, Queen and Adam Lambert embarked on a big European tour, which included two dates at London’s O2 Arena. Earlier today, Adam unveiled a special behind the scenes video which documented the iconic London shows, giving fans a glimpse into what goes on before a show.

The video showcases several performance montages, the staging preparation, costumes, and much more which truly makes us feel like a part of the show. During the montage, Adam spoke about the loyalty of Queen fans, who continue to sell out shows year after year and sing along to every word.

Adam also spoke about some of the band’s most iconic songs and what they mean to him. Whilst ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ is like therapy to him, ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ in particular makes him think of Freddie Mercury, with the song allowing him to live on as a musical icon.

During the video, we also witness Adam’s pre-show meet and greet with members of the LGBTQ youth group Mosaic. After meeting with and hosting a talk for the group in June, he later invited them to watch the show. It’s clear to see that the experience meant a lot to both Adam and members of the group.

The final part of the video discusses costumes and how Adam channelled style inspiration from Freddie when picking stage outfits. Whilst Freddie’s iconic style has influenced Adam, he shows how he’s also put his own stamp on proceedings, including chopping the sleeves off a brand new Alexander McQueen coat.

Adam’s behind the scenes video is the perfect insight into tour life, giving us more of an idea of the goings on both on and off stage. The video also showcases his vibrant personality, whilst reminding us what a generous, hard working, and inspirational human being he is.

Queen and Adam Lambert will be kicking off their 10-show Crown Jewels residency in Las Vegas on September 1. Adam is also busy working on his fourth album, with a press release stating that new music is set to be released later this year.
