Touch of Sparkle (a campaign run by Adam Lambert fans) has now reached their next special milestone. They recently donated 1,500 care packs after being launched in April of 2015, thanks to the founder of Touch of Sparkle (Melanie Hersey) and the help of the campaign’s supporters.
On top of that, they donated over 2,000 toys, books, crafts, games, and more to the children’s ward at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, UK today! All of these items will be used for out-of-hours trolleys on the children’s ward when the usual play areas may be closed or staff members limited.
Touch of Sparkle has already £9,550 out of their £10,000 goal.

Get to know Touch of Sparkle: Touch of Sparkle helps provide care packs to male and female cancer patients, including special batches for the children’s ward as well as emergency overnight packs to parents of children staying overnight at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital. In order to help the campaign strive, Adam Lambert fans from around the world donate items that are featured in the care packs, as well as sending out donations and spreading awareness about Touch of Sparkle.
Care packs include:
- Practical items (bed socks, tissues, restaurant voucher, sweets, herbal tea for anti-sickness)
- Distractions (puzzle book, notebook, pen, earphones, playing cards)
- Pamper items (nail varnish, moisturizer, lip balm)
Usually Touch of Sparkle produces care packs for cancer patients, but on occasion, batches are provided to other departments as part of special projects. How sweet is that?
The main goal of this campaign is spread a little care and humanity and try to lighten the load for patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery for cancer.
The items are packaged and delivered to cancer patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK. The project is run in aid of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
