The new era of music from Adam Lambert is in full swing, and the multi-talented artist has dropped another new track called ‘Comin in Hot’.
Bringing an irresistible groove to the table, ‘Comin in Hot’ was written by Adam, Michelle Buzz, Andrew Davidson, Sean Davidson, and Katie Pearlman, and is an extension of the psychedelic 70’s sound that Adam has already unveiled during this era so far. Having said that, the track, produced by The Monarch, showcases a slighty funkier vibe than previous track ‘New Eyes’.
It comes accompanied by a music video, which is a second part to the Velvet short film. Directed by Miles & AJ, the hypnotic visual takes place in a steamy bar with Miss Shalae, trans-activist, performer and mother of the ballroom house of Yves Saint Laurent, casting love spells on the bar’s patrons. Once again, the visual finishes with a ‘to be continued…’ sign, meaning we can expect even more visuals from Adam in the near future.
‘Comin in Hot’ is taken from Adam’s forthcoming album Velvet, which will be released in two parts. Side A will be unveiled this September and Adam recently shared some of the material in an exclusive listening party in London. We were lucky enough to be there for the sneak preview, and it’s safe to say that Velvet is looking to be Adam’s funkiest and most groove-induced body of work to date.
Aside from new music, Adam will be spending the summer on tour with Queen across North America and they’ll be touring Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia in 2020. He will also be voicing the character of Emperor Maximum in Playmobil: The Movie, which hits cinemas on August 7.
