Today, BBC Music proudly announces Adele At The BBC, a world-exclusive entertainment show hosted by Graham Norton for BBC One.

The one-off, hour-long special will be broadcast on BBC One in November. Adele will perform classic tracks as well as songs from her eagerly awaited new album ’25’, accompanied by her live band, as well as chat to Graham about her career and life to date.

It will be Adele’s first television performance since she performed ‘Skyfall’ at the 85th Academy Awards in February 2013, where she won Best Original Song for the theme tune to the 23rd James Bond film.

Adele says: “I can’t wait for the show. The BBC has been wonderful to me over the years and Graham and I get on great so it’s going to be a laugh.”

The BBC has supported Adele since the beginning of her career. Her first ever play was ‘Daydreamer’ on Reggie Yates’ BBC Radio 1 show. ‘Hometown Glory’ was first played on the radio by Zane Lowe on Radio 1 in 2007, and she made her debut television performance on Later With Jools Holland on BBC Two in the same year, performing ‘Daydreamer’.

Graham Norton says: “This is the music event of the year and I’m thrilled to be part of bringing it to BBC One. This opportunity to spend an hour with Adele, her music and her stories is a truly rare treat. If I wasn’t hosting this special I’d be sat at home watching it!”

Bob Shennan, Director of BBC Music and Controller of Radio 2, says: “I’m incredibly proud that BBC Music is able to give viewers an unmissable night of music on BBC One, showing our commitment to supporting the UK’s most exciting new and established musical talents.”

Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One, says: “This has to be one of the most anticipated returns from one of the world’s biggest music stars, and I feel privileged to announce that Adele will be performing live on BBC One for an incredibly special evening of entertainment hosted by the fabulous Graham Norton.”

Tickets will be available via an audience ballot. Registration to apply is open from now until midnight on Wednesday 28 October – please visitbbc.co.uk/music for further details.
