We’re pretty sure this man is rapidly approaching that point in his career where he doesn’t really need an introduction anymore, but for those last few people who still haven’t let Jamie into their hearts, we’ll introduce him anyway.

Jamie Lawson is a British singer-songwriter, who has been building his career for over a decade and is currently signed to Ed Sheeran’s record label Gingerbread Man Records. He’s also One Direction’s support act for the remaining shows of their On The Road Again Tour, and his single “Wasn’t Expecting That” topped the charts just a few days ago.

Today, he released Jamie Lawson, his fourth studio album. Jamie Lawson is exactly what you’d expect from someone who is this closely affiliated with Ed Sheeran – an album filled with calming guitar tunes, a piano here and there and lyrics on a whole other level than your average singer-songwriter.

Jamie Lawson really is an emotional rollercoaster. From the hopeful and upbeat “Someone for Everyone” and “Ahead of Myself” to the emotional plea that is “Don’t Let Me Let You Go” and from the reassuring “Sometimes it’s Hard” to the heartbreakingly beautiful “Wasn’t Expecting That”, Jamie Lawson delivers.

If you’re a fan of Ed Sheeran’s music, enjoy Coldplay’s slower songs and are into James Bay’s heartfelt lyrics, we’re pretty sure you will enjoy Jamie Lawson just as much as we did.

You can buy Jamie Lawson on iTunes here and tickets for Jamie’s European Tour can be bought here.
