Chart topping, classical-soul pianist Alexis Ffrench makes his long awaited return to music today (September 27th) with the release of his latest album, ‘Classical Soul Vol. 1’.
Serving as the British musicians first brand new studio recording in two years, the emotive LP sees the multi-talented producer and composer take inspiration from his Father’s cherished record collection, to pay homage to some of the artists and musicians who have inspired him throughout the course of his illustrious career thus far.
Blending the soulful melodies of legends like Sam Cooke, and Etta James, with the contemporary rhythms that defined his youth during the golden era of Hip-Hop, the album promises to take fans on a nostalgic journey through the timeless sounds that have helped shape Alexis’ unique musical DNA.
Recorded at the legendary Miraval Studios – owned by Brad Pitt and Damien Quintard – the record features recent single release ‘Soar’, an uplifting multi-cultural anthem, featuring Congolese singer-songwriter Fally Ipupa, Pentatonix’ cellist and beatboxer Kevin Olusola, and the Dreamland Gospel Choir, that celebrates the coming together of nations at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Commenting on the album, Ffrench says via a press release: “This record is a reflection of my musical heritage and the soundtrack of my life. It’s an ode to the music that has shaped me—not just as an artist, but as a person. I wanted to capture the soul of these influences while infusing them with the classical elements that are so intrinsic to my identity.”
