The 80s revival is all the rage right now. Dua Lipa and Jessie Ware dominated the realms of pop music in 2020 with their synth-pop throwback albums, and now VISSIA follows in their steps, with neo-disco track, ‘On My Mind’.
‘On My Mind’ sees VISSIA putting her skill as a lyricist to the test, creating a heady atmosphere and infectious sultry longing with her descriptions of locking eyes with someone cute across a crowded dancefloor. This is not a show-stopping love affair, it’s a fleeting moment, and it’s this temporary and near-meditative state which VISSIA pays homage to with this track.
2021 promises to be a stellar year for this alt-pop newcomer, who has already drawn eyes from the likes of Wonderland, Maverick, LOCK and more. With a full length release set to drop in the spring, VISSIA is certainly one star you should be keeping an eye on.
