On Sunday evening, Amanda Steele posted a video addressing the distasteful comments she has received lately. She told her subscribers that she fell into the expectations of what others demanded from her.
From now on my videos are going to be different. They are going to be fashion and beauty oriented still but not in the kind of way you are going to expect from me,” she said.
The 17-year-old model said she dreaded having to make videos because of the expectations from some of her subscribers. “I’ve been thrown into a world I didn’t know existed, I’m being told who I’m supposed to be.” She wants to focus on herself and post videos she’ll be passionate about. “I’m going to be me even if I’m changing, even if I’m going through phases..whatever happens, it takes people time to find themselves.” She announced that she was going to be disabling comments on her videos to prevent further drama. Before ending the video, Amanda said “I hope you guys enjoy this and I’m really excited to start making new stuff and being passionate about what I start posting on YouTube again.”

Amanda started making youtube videos back in 2010 when she was only 10 years-old! She has come a long way with her vlogging career and has inspired thousands of people. The model has gained 2.9 million subscribers on YouTube, 2.7 million followers on Instagram and 849k followers on Twitter.
