Get ready to perfect your bend-and-snap theatre fans, because a brand new production of the smash hit musical comedy Legally Blonde The Musical is heading back to theatres next year, starring Amber Davies as the iconic Elle Woods!
The tour kicks off at Leicester’s Curve Theatre on February 7th 2026, before heading nationwide through early 2027. Produced by ROYO and Curve, and directed by Nikolai Foster with choreography from Leah Hill, this reimagined iteration of the much loved show promises all the sass, sparkle, and spirit that made the original a Broadway and West End sensation.
Based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Browning, and the 2001 film of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, the multi-award winning Legally Blonde The Musical follows fashion-obsessed sorority queen Elle Woods, who seems to have it all — until her boyfriend dumps her for someone “serious”. Determined to win him back, Elle follows him to Harvard Law School, only to discover she’s got more brains, drive, and heart than anyone expected. Packed with catchy songs, high-energy dance numbers, and plenty of pink, the show is a feel-good celebration of self-belief, friendship, and proving that you should never judge a book — or a blonde — by its cover.
With its book by Heather Hach and original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, the show was first seen on Broadway in 2007, with a West End production opening in 2010.
Fresh from her stint as Jordan Baker in the London production of The Great Gatsby,Amber looks set to bring a fresh energy to everyone’s favourite Harvard law student — her powerhouse vocals and natural stage presence, guaranteed to blow audiences away. There’s just one thing to note — Amber won’t appear at every single performance, so fans should double-check schedules when booking tickets.
Speaking of her excitement at landing the part, Davies says via a press release: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Elle Woods in ROYO and Curve’s new production of Legally Blonde. As a huge fan of the film and the musical, this part is the role of a lifetime, and I am honoured to be stepping into Elle’s perfect heels… this is gonna be just like senior year except for funner!”
