After months of anticipation, American Horror Story returns to the small screen tonight on FX.
This is the first season where the fans and the media don’t know what the theme will be. For those who are new to the AHS world, previous themes included Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freakshow and Hotel.
Throughout the summer, 25 short teaser trailers came out to promote the new season. However, only one of them is the true theme of season 6. Last week, the FX network released a new compilation trailer, Illusion, featuring Lady Gaga’s new single “Perfect Illusion.” It features snippets from each of the 25 previously released teasers. As for the cast, confirmed members include Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett. Just recently, Jacob Artist, who worked with AHS creator Ryan Murphy on Glee, revealed his joining to the cast on Instagram. He posted a picture of a script with the caption, “Day 1.” He later deleted the picture, causing a mini-frenzy. Is the mystery of Artist’s role to add to the mystery of the new season? The only thing to do now is wait for the premiere episode!
