It has been three years since Amy Studt released the teaser for “I Was Jesus In Your Veins”, and almost a year since the full version appeared on iTunes. This hauntingly emotional song has finally got a music video.
Created by David Blanko, the music video features scenes from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1945 film Spellbound. Specifically, Salvador Dali’s dream sequence.
Released as the B-side to “Different Coloured Pills”, “I Was Jesus In Your Veins” is much slower, with a much deeper meaning that compliments her vocals perfectly.

Album three seems to be a dark emotional sound, perfectly matching her vocals. Bound to be miles different from her first few singles and her debut album, Amy Studt proves she is no longer “Just A Little Girl”, and that she can make deeply personal songs sure to capture the world.
She hit the UK’s music industry hard, at just 16. She had three top 20 hits with “Just A Little Girl”, “Misfit” and “Under The Thumb”. Her “False Smiles” album hit number 18 on the UK Chart. Her fourth single “All I Wanna Do”, a cover version of Sheryl Crow’s hit, spawned a re-release of her debut album. Unfortunately, it only charted at number 21, and she was subsequently dropped from the label.
Five years later, she returned with a second album “My Paper Made Men” which spawned three singles “Furniture”, “Chasing The Light” and “Nice Boys”.
Her third album has been a long time coming, yet her fans eagerly anticipate the day she finally releases it. We believe she’s worth the wait.
