On June 16, The Fault In Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort announced on instagram the release of his very own emojis called “ANSELFIES.” Ansel has now joined the many celebrities with their own emoji keyboards, such as “Kimojis” by Kim Kardashian, and “Justmojis” by Justin Bieber, which were both released earlier this month.
Ansel, who is well-known for his roles as Augustus Waters in The Fault In Our Stars, and Caleb Prior in The Divergent Series, has been keeping himself busy with recent acting projects Billionaire Boys Club, and November Criminals, alongside Chloë Grace Moretz. He is also a DJ under the stage name, “Ansolo.” With the creation of the Anselfie, Ansel has now established himself as an entrepreneur.
On Instagram, Ansel said that he has been working on the ANSELFIES with a friend for some time, but he had kept it secret. When asked where he drew inspiration, he stated “I constantly send stupid selfies to my friends making funny emoji-like expressions, so then I came up with this crazy idea… ANSELFIE!”
Ansel states on his new website, Anselfie.com, “ANSELFIES are emojis! Made by yours truly! I re-created a bunch of the emoji expressions we all love — as well as some signature Ansel expressions you may already know ;) — and voila!” Ansel then took to twitter to retweet some of his fans that were already using his new emojis. ANSELFIES are now available in the Apple store for $2.99.
