It’s been revealed that the Jedward have been approached by top fashion designer, Jean Paul Gaultier to model for him.
The Dublin duo could walk as part of the The Life Ball, one of the biggest AIDS events in the world, on May 16 in Vienna, ahead of Eurovision. Also featuring at the event will be Charlize Theron, singer Mary J Blige, burlesque queen Dita von Teese, Kelly Osbourne, transgender model Carmen Carrera and singer superstar Paula Abdul.
Speaking to The Irish Sun newspaper, John Grimes said,
“We have modelled before. We did Milan Fashion Week in 2013. It worked out so well, Roberto Cavalli (Italian fashion designer) invited us out on his yacht.”
Tickets for The Life Ball cost between €90 and €750.
The pair will also be performing in Vienna at a concert to generate public awareness and raise funds for HIV and AIDS the night before, on the 15th of May.
Jedward have a long history of working with charities. The pair recently returned from Los Angeles to appear at the Dublin launch of Facebook’s “Stay Safe on Facebook” campaign, as part of Anti-Bullying Pro and the Diana Award, and have close ties with Join Our Boys, which raises money for awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
