It’s out with the old and in with the new in the first promo for the upcoming series of The X Factor.
ITV will premiere will the glossy trailer just before Coronation Street at 7.30pm tonight (August 3).

Controversial Louis Walsh replacement Nick Grimshaw is seen being fitted with a special judging microchip, but finds that he’s received one from last year (or the previous 10).
There’s a cheeky little dig at Walsh to be found here, as Grimshaw’s chip causes him to start repeating: “You look like a popstar, you sound like a popstar.”
Fellow newcomer Rita Ora gets sent to training for giving the singing hopefuls feedback, while Cheryl Fernandez-Versini robots are being programmed with responses for every occasion.
Perhaps the darkest secret to be uncovered lies in Simon Cowell’s head…
