Ever since the heinous attack at the end of Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester on May 22nd which claimed 22 beautiful, innocent lives, the music world has rallied in support of the We Love Manchester Emergency fund and so far over £10million has been raised with all the money going to help the victims of the evil attack.
Last Sunday saw the world unite in a show of solidarity against hate at the One Love Manchester benefit concert which was organised by the kindhearted Ariana Grande and her team within less than 2 weeks following the bombing at the arena. Music stars from around the globe performed to 50,000 people at the Old Trafford Cricket ground, and over 100 million viewers tuned in around the world making it the biggest music event in history.
The show was a beautiful show of love, bravery and solidarity and helped to raise over $10million for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
The concert saw Ariana Grande perform a number of her hits including ‘Break Free’, and also saw her give a moving rendition of ‘One Last Time’ where she was joined on stage by all the star performers including the likes of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Niall Horan, Take That, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas, and many, many more.
The heartwarming benefit gig ended with Ariana Grande performing an emotionally charged rendition of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’. The song was both heartbreaking and beautiful and Grande’s vocals were note perfect despite being on the brink of tears.
