Who is DEAN?
Kwon Hyuk aka DEAN is a 24 year old alternative R&B singer/songwriter. In addition to his solo tracks, DEAN has collaborated with both South Korean and international artists. His major collaboration happened in the year 2015 when he appeared in the music video for the song “I ain’t Sorry” with Eric Bellinger. For those of you who don’t know, Bellinger is a Grammy award winning singer who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.
But for his domestic fans, he garnered attention when he released his single “Pour Up” and later with “Starlight”, the single for which he collaborated with Taeyeon.
His collaboration with ZICO and Crush for the single “Bermuda Triangle” also became quite a huge hit. But the journey to fame for the artist did not exactly start with singing. DEAN was actually taken in by his management due to his songwriting skills. He is credited with songs like Unfair and Black Pearl which he wrote for EXO.
