Diana Hajiyeva is a singer-songwriter from Azerbaijan. She has graduated from the Baku Academy of Music as well as The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. She has also previously released songs as part of a trio under the same name.
As well as this, in 2010 Diana entered Azerbaijan’s national selection (Milli Seçim Turu) to find a representative for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. She placed fourth in her heat, with the winners of the competition ‘Ell and Nikki’ going on to win the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Not one to give up, Diana will represent her country at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest after being selected by the Azerbaijan broadcaster Ictimai Television (ITV). She will head off to Kyiv in May to perform the song ‘Skeletons’.
