Gabrielle Aplin is a singer and songwriter from England. Alpine most recognisably shot to fame in 2012 when she was asked to sing a cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s ‘The Power of Love’ for the John Lewis christmas TV advert, with which she landed number one on the UK singles chart. Her debut album ‘English Rain’ was released the following May, providing hit singles ‘Please Don’t Say You Love Me’, ‘Panic Cord’, ‘Home’ and ‘Salvation’. In September 2015 her second album ‘Light Up The Dark’ was released with positive feedback.
