Reigning in from Nashville, Chase Lawrence, Joe Memmel, Zachary Dyke, and Ryan Winnen make up COIN. Having met through fate and even through mutual friends, it seems that these fellas were destined to make some sick tunes.
Formed in 2012, the band was then signed to Columbia by the end of 2013 and began to work on music. All young men, the synth-pop quartet managed to create a sound that has become entirely their own — and they’re still not done. Forever working on music and pushing their own boundaries, these gentlemen are ready to make music that they can be proud of. And as they’ve grown and matured, it has become apparent with their evolving sound — compare their song “It’s Okay” to “I Would.”
Calling themselves a “product of the 90’s,” the band is definitely creating waves in the music scene. Having just come off a tour and being a support act for artists like Walk the Moon and The Neon Trees, the band is introducing themselves to newer and wider audiences. They’ve even been included in several Spotify-made playlists and are becoming fast-favorites for people all across the United States. The combination of their wonderful sound and fun vibes onstage have led them to become a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.
We recommend: Atlas, Run, Holy Ghost, and Fingers Crossed (or their entire album, really).
We genuinely can’t wait until we get some more music from these guys and definitely some more shows. Their latest Instagram posts are hinting at album number 2 and we really can’t wait.
We love bringing new artists to the attention of our readers and we hope you love COIN as much as we do.
Find COIN over at Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, or their website. And just for good measure, here’s “Fingers Crossed.”
