Can they make us fall in love with this song any more? Well, ASHLEE + EVAN have released a live acoustic video of “I Do” on their YouTube Channel and our hearts are fully melted now. The song was the first single to be taken from their self-titled EP and is currently their most-streamed song to-date on Spotify.
Ashlee Simpson was well-known in the 00’s with some incredible releases that we still listen to today, some of her hits include “Pieces Of Me”, “La La”, “Boyfriend”, “L.O.V.E.”, and “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)” as well as the treasured Halloween track “Bat For A Heart”. She released a total of three albums Autobiography, I Am Me, and Bittersweet World, all of which charted well globally. It’s been 10 years since she released new music so “I Do” and the ASHLEE + EVAN EP has been a long time coming, and it was totally worth the wait.
As for her husband, Evan Ross, he is known for his starring role in the TV show Star where he plays Angel Rivera. He has also played Messalla in The Hunger Games and has appeared in various films and TV shows, including According To Greta, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and 90210. He is the son of American singer and actress, Diana Ross.
This song was released back in September and was written by Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Verdine White, Austin Brown, Brian London, and Palmer Reed. The video itself has been filmed in their Los Angeles home and shows a taste of what people will get to see on their tour – oh how we wish ASHLEE + EVAN were coming to the UK, we need to see this duo live ourselves.
In the clip, we watch the spark between this superstar couple. It’s clear that not only do they mean a lot to each other, but this song itself has so much real emotion from both of them that we can literally see the love they hold for each other flitting between them two, as they sing. It’s beyond adorable.
