“Oh my God, what have I done?” To answer this question in all fairness: ÄTNA have created an intricate anthem like no other this year and we cannot stop listening to it.
German Avant-Garde duo ÄTNA continue their streak of immaculate releases by debuting their latest track “Grinding”.
The song follows their highly acclaimed debut album “Made By Desire”, which was released earlier this year and earned them an Anchor Award for best newcomer at the Reeperbahn Festival as well as placements on Spotify playlists such as “OFF POP”.
Their new single “Grinding” is the perfect feast for everyone who has waited for another synth-laden banger such as “Come To Me” or “Ruining My Brain”. Layered under a striking bass line and a half-time beat, the vocals of lead singer Inéz seem like a battle cry to us as listeners. “I’m a man in this world with a mission, live for my vision, f*ck the system”, she sings, while the song slowly, broodingly draws the listener in more and more.
It’s deep, dark and atmospheric and it shines in a certain multi-faceted glory that only ÄTNA manage to achieve and master.
