In a new interview with Attitude magazine, Austin Mahone admitted that he wasn’t so good with the ladies back in school. Interestingly, the “Dirty Work” hitmaker added that his luck with women finally changed when he started making music.
“No, definitely not. I really wasn’t popular with girls in school while growing up. That came with the music!” Mahone told the mag.
Now that Mahone is becoming a well-known name in the pop world, he doesn’t seem to need help in the ladies department. In fact, the singer has been linked to Becky G and Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony.
Surprisingly, Mahone even spilled about his time dealing with bullies and how he regretted “keeping quiet” whenever they picked on him.
“I was definitely picked on all the time. I was never really popular with the girls, and there were times I was bullied too. I didn’t do anything about it, and I just kept quiet, which was a mistake,” he said.
“I think everyone should talk to someone if they are going through that sort of situation. I realize that now, so I always focus on surrounding myself with good people and friends,” Mahone added.
