Backstreet’s back indeed! To add to the exciting news about a new album being in the works, the Backstreet Boys have plans for a world tour and a Las Vegas residency.
Nick Carter gave the news at the premiere of Dead 7, a Sy-Fy movie which happens to star Backstreet Boys, O-Town, ‘N Sync and 98 Degrees members.
Nick Carter talked about the Vegas run saying, “We have a deal with Live Nation, which is the touring company, and we just signed a nine-show deal to do sort of like a test run in Vegas with the residency.” “So that’s definitely going to happen, but we’re going to do a trial run first.”
The best part is all five original members – Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean – have signed on to participate. With this addition, Las Vegas will be filled with iconic ’90s acts as they join Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
Richardson added to what is in store for the Backstreet boys saying we can look forward to seeing the trial run in either late 2016 or early 2017. “We’re definitely in the studio recording a brand new album. We’re gonna do a world tour first,” he said.
The last time we got new music from the Backstreet Boys was 20 years ago but the future is looking bright for the iconic ’90s boyband. We’re looking forward to this “larger than life” show, are you? Let us know in the comments below or over on @CelebMix!
