Legendary singer and actress Barbra Streisand has once again reminded us why people call her the singing icon. Her new recording “Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway” delivered Streisand a #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart for the 11th time.
“Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway” was released on August 26 and starts with 149,000 equivalent album units sold in the week ending September 1st. It marks the singer’s 35th studio album and features duets of Broadway tunes with Hollywood stars such as Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Seth MacFarlane, Melissa McCarthy, Patrick Wilson, Jamie Foxx. The 74-year-old singer now holds the record for most no. 1 albums among women. What’s more, she even overtakes Elvis Presley, the runner-up with 10 Billboard 200 #1.
